| this is post 999 Just saw some (trans)portable and some "mobile" trailers today. They're built as offices or habitations. There's a 6.3 meter version and a 7.1 meter version. They build them here in my town. I talked to the owner and he said they can make one lighter and empty with the doors and the bathroom the way I want them and it will cost me less than the basic model. The transportable model is 3 meters wide while the mobile model is 2.6 meters (2.4 m internal) wide. The transportable model can be transported with permission for wide loads (hassle) the mobile version can go with a pickup and a new license. They're butt ugly. The sound proofing is good and good ventilation is possible. They have plastic "red clay" mediterranean roofs. They have good suspension (mobile) The big one will give me 6.9 meters by 2.4 meters, take some room out for the bathroom and the "machine room/ loading dock" area and I still have a nice CR. I know there are some other guys into this idea, the gross weight is the big problem, most of my stuff is in ATA cases, some of them ventilated, which really adds to the weight.
