Uber clean limiter for live remote mixdowns

Resurrecting this thread with a question about the Aphex Dominator.

It seems like a very solid unit, but they sure depreciate quickly - $1200 new, and ~ $300-350 on eBay. Are they just overpriced to begin with, or is something limiting () the resale values?

I'm just taking a guess, but...

The age of the unit may have a lot to do with the lower eBay price point.

Sounds right - there are actually some 15-year-old ones being offered for $175 apiece, which is tempting. I'm thinking it would be good to have something to put across the inserts of a ULN-2 as the proverbial safety net, and this seems like an affordable solution.
