Question CEEP Multicores

Hi,

I've heard of CEEP Multicores and cables, and seen a lot of hire companies with them but don't know, and can't seem to find much about them on the web.

Can anyone make me wiser?

Why not contact CEEP - Communication, Electronic and Electromechanical Products directly?

I believe CEEP connectors are most often found onstage (at least in UK/Europe) as multipin connectors on 12-pair subsnakes.

Larger snakes tend to be on Veam. Harting seems to have rapidly fallen out of use.

It's highly likely that the type you are referring to are 39pin Socapex connectors, used by many rental companies in the UK.
Two brands we use are Socapex original & CEEP version, both have their advantages and disadvantages. The shell size ( but not pin size! ) is the same as a 19pin Socapex connector used by lighting companies and also for speaker multi's.
The 39pin Socapex / CEEP are very reliable in my experience.

Oliver.

Many thanks. Someone suggested looking into them for a live recording I'm doing. Now have a direction in which to look.
