Maybe he means the threading that's to end up on the stand. I have to add that Superlux' accessories like these are usually less flimsy than some of the others.

| It's that horrible American thread which is too big and too fine. I was just being sarcastic - you just need the adaptors from 5/8" internal to 3/8" external to make them usable and the reverse for the centre. I am surprised the Americans standardised on such a horrible thread for microphones - the 3/8" is vastly better (or the 1/2" that Neumann use on their stands). |

Bought one a few months back - you can read my brief review here: Alternative stereo bar/Superlux Still have not had a lot of hrs of use with it - not many location recording gigs lately, and none needing stereo bar micing, but - it is a useful tool - not as elegant as the Grace, but is less than 1/5th the price too... Let us know your results, Gaston. |
