I've been asking for your help doing my first live remote Jazz gig. I used a lot of the advice. Regret not using other advice. http://www.opus-harmonious.com/Music...session_01.mp3 That a rough mix of one tune. The opinion I ask for is: Too much room? Not enough? Piano too phasey? ... I did it in stereo (2xmk21, spaced 8 inches, facing down in curve near lid pointing near hammers). Bass? All over everything due to bass amp. Miced the instrument by stuffing an avenson sto2 in bridge... how to control this. Tried phase. Horns to "flattered" by r84's? I had to hard pan them because the summing coloration was too severe. Blumlien next time? Anyway, thanks for any comments. I'm going back to do it again in a few weeks. t. |
