I am looking for a line level volume pedal with a small gain range. (instrument level could work, but line would be better) It needs to be very clean, provide between 9 and 12dB of gain range a stepped attenuator would be good (maybe 5 steps of 2db). Balanced plus unbalanced operation would also be nice. Does anyone make something like this, or is there a good place to have this made. |

Have you considered buying a standard instrument level pedal and replace the potentiometer with a line level pot?

Can you be more specific about its purpose ? Does it have to be "hands free" ? Wouldn't a wireless digital solution be easier and cheaper ?

I always wanted to have a few foot pedals for this sort of thing. Changing three or four levels at the same time sounds awesome to me.

I'm not sure what's the purpose of this, but there are low impedance volume pedals made by BOSS, for outputs from keyboards/synths (line out). FV-50L is mono, and FV-500L is a stereo version, so you might be able to convert the 500L to balanced signal volume pedal (use L input/output for tip, use R input/output for ring). I use 500L and the pot is clean (at least for live purposes).

Generally in symphonic ebass playing, you need to actually do dynamics, which ebass is not really very good at. As such I want a good pedal to go after my Pacifica DI, but before the poweramp.

Mick Hinton can also make it, I am certain. George Dennis
