Sonoma eats an entire computer and costs over $20,000 with converters. The Korg is $1,000 and fits in a laptop case. I do site work in NYC. I can't bring a Sonoma rig on the subway.

You could bring a meitner converter and the tascam unit OR a Pyramix/Sadie workstation with the DAD(or EMM) converters...

I know about this mod, but my research indicates that it takes a long time and doesn't bypass the pre-amp stage, only upgrades the components. Like I said, I think I need a custom mod.
