I have recently moved from straight-to-stereo recording to multitracking. My weapon of choice is a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. I love it, it does everything I throw at it, but I miss knobs. I loved being able to touch, slide, and tweak. Can anyone recommend mixers that would tie in to this system, and then tie in to a recorder such as an HD24 or BlackBox once I ditch the Focusrite? Right now, the Soundcraft M12 has caught my eye, any comments on that? FWIW, this is for live recording of stuff like orchestras and wind ensembles with the occasional jazz and rock group thrown in. |

| SSL X-Desk Have one, love it. Use it while recording multi-track (SK48) to make a stereo mix. The multi-track is the backup. |
