Talking The high road and the low road...

Sunday night and Monday night, last. I love what I do for a living!

Sunday: King's Brass, 56-rank Schantz organ, 100+ in the choir loft, and a sanctuary full of folks who love to sing. Gefell M296s in 40cm AB in the center aisle; Sennheiser MKH8040 on each corner of the choir, behind the brass. Tracks are slipped to align the timing. DAV BG8 through Apogee Ensemble, Logic Pro to HD. Archive recording for First Baptist Church, Nashville.

Monday: Lee Roy Parnell and Friends at The Basement. House mics (SM58s Vox, 57s EGtrs, Sennheiser E835 LRP Vox, Audix D6 kick, Bass and Keys direct (and bleed... lots of bleed from the tiny 12'x12' stage) through a passive split. My RODE NT4 overhead on drums (homerun). Mackie Onyx 1640 through Logic Pro to HD, 13 tracks, archive recording, rough mix. I believe it was Blackberry Smoke guitarist and vocalist Charlie Starr on left channel guitar and lead vox. T Graham Brown took a couple of yelps as well.
