Talking Little Blondies for chamber music?

Anyone here tried the Little blondie mics on classical ensembles? I am looking for a nice pair of omni's to use as a spaced pair in my setup, and am thinking they would be a cheap way to start.

Camarada / Reinecke, Schumann, Martinu, Buss, Debussy - InstantEncore

I used the Little Blondies as a main pair for this, just for kicks. Worked out alright. I think they are better as spots on harsher instruments, but the ensemble was quite happy with the results of the recording.

Thank you very much for the recordings! They sound great

Did you use any other mics on these tracks as well?

I'm thinking I'll go ahead and buy 1, or a pair, I'm certain I'll find something to use them on.

Does anyone else have a suggestion for a pair of omnis at or around 300-500 dollars? I'm not recording the London philharmonic here, just student concerts and recitals and local high schools.

There are few places that the little blondie won't sound excellent. I bought 2 pairs just from reading the hype and immediately tested them out against my other mics, particular my overhead mics. Within a day or two my old overheads were on ebay, and I was bummed that I had just finished an entire album w/out my blondies!

A little bit of DPA 4061's on the piano, but that is just for clarity.

I am listening to the tracks now over my monitors. Amazing little mics. I sent Sahiaman a note for info.

I just ordered one : ) might be getting a matched one for it in another week or two.

If I have a pair by my next gig I'll try a spaced pair I think. If not, I'll just stick my one on piano and see how it sounds! I can't wait to get it
