Exclamation Looking for a recordist April 30th Denver/Englewood area

Hello remote warriors! My sister is doing a concert at St. John's Cathedral April 30th. She is a vocalist, and there will be piano accompaniment for most of the program, and a woodwind quartet for one or two songs. It's about an hour program, and I'd like to get separate tracks of close mics and room mics.

I'm in LA and probably can't be there, or I would try and do this myself. Having never hired anyone for this sort of thing, I'm wondering how much it will cost. Is anybody out in that zone that's interested?

Please PM me.

If it doesn't work out with Tenor, here's another couple outfits you could try. I've had limited dealings with both, but it's been years, so I can't vouch one way or another for their current activity.

Just saw this... glad it's getting recorded. St. John's Cathedral is one of my favorite spaces to record in all of Denver. I've done a lot of work there. The reverb is incredible! The place is so massive and the ceilings are so high that I often work the main mics/array in pretty close, and then use a pair of ambient room mics pointed away a ways back (it's a super long room) to capture the space. Otherwise things can sound almost too dry.

If someone here is recording the concert (and has never worked there) there's a flower room that you can setup in off to stage right. It has a nice big table and power. 100' cables should make it. Downside is you can't see the show from this room.

Only problem might be traffic noise from 13th/14th. Have fun!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm actually doing the gig

I'm going to a rehearsal tomorrow to get my bearings and do some experimenting with placements. From the pictures I've seen it looks wonderful. Looking forward to it
