Question PA rental in Washington DC

Buddy of mine needs to spec out a rental PA to give to the promoter for a show at the Lincoln Theater in DC. Anybody got any names back there that can advise on/provide what's necessary to supplement the house rig (apparently not the greatest).

Also, if anyone here has any ideas about on how big a PA you need to cover a 1000 seat theater I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!!

There's a place called "Chuck Levin's" in Wheaton, which is near D.C., an old bassist of mine rented an entire bass rig from them once, and they carry PA equipment too, so this might be an option for you. Their number is 301-946-8808. (www.washingtonmusic.com)

You need to call GDIC. They are a sound company in the DC area and know the Lincoln well. I use them for ALL of my events from Yolanda Adams to Randy Travis.

GDIC (301) 248-8993 ask for Dean and tell him Rob sent you.

I wish you the best with your event.

MSI - Maryland Sound, is close by and knows the venue.

The big sound shops in NYC (Masque Sound, PRG Audio, Sound Associates) are also used to serving the DC venues. If its a touring house, they have the specs.
