Talking Live at the Ellen Degeneres Show

I figured I'd drop a line and give a heads up for some of you gear interested slutz to have a listen. Vedera, a four piece, female fronted pop/rock band from Kansas City is appearing on the Ellen Degeneres show Thursday 11th 4pmET on NBC.

In the short amount of time we had for staging, check and performance, as much tweaking and gear freaking as possible was accomplished! All backline was rental (save for guitars) with the usual suspects; Voc AC30, Fender Twin and a kit from DW (24"x18" kick) and an Ampeg SVT/8x10.

We used the Heil HDK8 mic kit for the drums, Beyer M160's for guitars, a customized Neve 1272 DI built inside a cigar box for bass (you'll see it on the head unit) and the Telefunken M80 vocal mic.

Terry Fountain was the inhouse engineer at the Warner Brothers and he was great to work alongside with and crucial in dialing in the sounds for broadcast.

Anyhow, check it out tomorrow (March 11th) and listen to the music. The band is fully responsible for the good sounds and there just so happened to be some appropriate gear around to capture it for us.

Cheers!
