Hello All, I'm looking for opinions from people who've used these three mics and wondering how you feel the stack up? I will be using them for SFX gathering exclusively. X-Y and ORTF. I can't get my paws on them to hear them so if anyone has any audio examples that well... would be great!!! Cheers, John |

If it's for outside use in all weathers, then the MKH 8000 series would be the best choice as they are RF condensers and work happily in damp conditions where other mics tend to go noisy and crackly. But all three on your list are excellent mics.; they just come from different angles - The Sennheiser are RF condensers, the Schoeps are AF condensers and the DPA are electrets - and each of these is probably the best example of its genre.
