Mic preamp for acoustic music

I want to record songer/songwriter music, and the time is come to update my preamps...
I have around 1700$ for a dual channel pre to record my acoustic Martin D35...

I have been thinking of the GR ME-2NV but are there better alternatives out there, when I'm usually only are going to record vocal (male and female) and acoustic guitars.

Does anyone know about great mic's for en Martin D35 (with has alot of bas and midtones)?

As a vocal mic I'm going to buy a Soundelux U195

The great river should be just fine. If you want to spend your time and money comparing tons of different pres, then by all means do; you've come to the right place. But if you just want to get on with it, you won't be going wrong with the great river at all.

As far as recording dreadnought guitars...what kind of room do you have? style of music? do you play with pick or fingerstyle? where is the guitar going in the mix?? etc etc.

re

The room is actualy not so good (just ok) but I'm going to buy some Auralex acoustics-plates...

I'm going to use it with both fingerpicking and strumming and the guitar will be like the vocal the "center" of the song. In many songs I'm just going to do vocals and guitars.
Is the great River good in the midtones and in the bass? The acoustic guitar (D35) is a lot more bassy than many other guitars, but it sound just wonderfull...

I have been doing a ton of acoustic material lately. I have some great options, Neve, API, DW Fearn, and a Langevin DVC for pres.
As of late, about 98% of the time, I have chosen the DVC over all of them. It is so clean and nice sounding. Remember this also, it is the cheapest of the bunch. The limiters are sweet and the eq sounds wonderful. Can be found used for aroud $1100 for the pair.

I know this won't help, but I did not like the U195. But if you tried it and dig it, then do it. However, it needs alot of gain, it is a very quiet mic. The DVC/195 combo is not a good one for finger picking and other quiet players.
Again, this is my opinion...nothing less, nothing more.

Good luck

Oh and the DI's are great, super clean!
I use them or the APIs for direct bass.

re...

I notice that you like clean alot... Then what about the Dacs Clarity MicAmp? It should be the cleanest out there and if I'm lucky a used one can fit into my budget? Anyone knows anything about it?

I'll need alot of warm sound from the mic and pre, but has coloring anithing to do about warmth or can a really transparent be just as warm?

We only record acoustic music and we are very happy with our Millennia.
You can get an older hv3b (2 ch) for about 1000-1200
even saw the tube pre going for 1500 a few weeks ago.
