Wow.... Was it just the feed here in Norway or was everyone's experience out of sync?

I asked the same question on here! It was the worst mix ever! I've heard better mixes on a radio shack mixer!

Maybe the mix was not the best, but how can you say the worst mix ever ? I think not, it was fine to have been rolled out in the center of the field, plug and play, its entertainment not a studio mix of the band, if you want bad go back and listen to the grammys.

btw , I will take there mix all day long before any artist thats on the current radio today.

Where in my post did I say that it was the worst mix ever? I thought the mix was fine being a stressed live situation, but all I commented on was the horrible sync issues here in Norway via NRK.

Oops... I see that you commented on a reply.

That is usually the local provider as video content is usually delivered separately from audio content and has to be combined at the point of local distribution.

The CBS affiliate in our market got the sync pretty close, but added some got awful multi-channel compression that was keyed off the center channel of the 5.1 audio (the audio comes out of the truck with no buss compression).

Highly annoying!!

+1 on the poor mix. Was it really necessary to pan half the instruments to the right hand channel? I could hardly hear the elec on Pinball Wizard...

Did they cut out all the arts classes and physical education classes in the European school systems too ? Did they put all the subsequently obnoxious kids on psychiatric meds too ? Only that can explain the fatal lack of listening skills in the North American audience. The new approach (with the clumsiness, extreme compression and autotune) shows that the new generation of North American sound 'engineers' are now all tone deaf, manic/bi-polar, ignorant and ******** corporate zombies. They have their ears painted on.

No, no and as I stated, the mix here was fine considering the circumstances. The Daltry scream sample on "Who Are You" was punched in about 6db too loud. Roger and Pete's voices were a little too loud and Pino's bass was a little down for The Who but there was no AutoTune or overuse of compression. Just bad, and I mean REALLY bad, sync issues leading to fooked up attempts to get it right that resulted in glitches, zipper artifacts and slowing down of the tempo. Perhaps these annoying things distracted me from other mix issues....

Thanks for the info on point of sync, Fletch.

Hello,
The international mix was sent from the compound out of sync. This was recognized on site although too late. The North American mix was sent out in sync.
Mix quality is another topic.
