Hey Dave,

Im about to have my Sc Delta Mod'd by JW and was wondering if your Delta is just his 'standard' mod ? or if he added the AudioUpragdes mic pre?

Hey thanks Steve appreciate it.

Has far has I know this is his standard mod but from what I understand from Brad McGowan, the previous owner, this particular console was Jim's before he sold it to Brad--so he might have added a few "extras", but Jim would have to confirm that for sure.

I would like to check out his high speed mic pre has I'm in the market for something after selling my Cranesong Spider recently. If it sounds like his other mods---SOLD. Although not quite has much depth and detail has the Spider/Flamingo pres, Jim's Delta board pres sounded "sweeter" to me and less harsh for my DPA 4011s on my Steinway. I think I liked the A/D that he modded on the Tascam probably has much or perhaps a tad better than the CS Spider--at least for my piano, with my mics, in my room going direct to the Tascam two track recorder.

Hmmm....I should ask him about adding the high speed mic pre to the board has long as he has it at his place in Carlsbad--I just spoke with him today. He rebuilt the PS for the Delta and did a routine maintenance check on the board.
