Question ADAT chassis connectors

Hello,

i'm building a new mobile rig consisting of 2x 32 ADAT inputs and 1x 32 ADAT outputs + 32 analog outputs. Pre-amps and convertors will be in another rack so i can put this rig in my truck easy.

I wish to put all that on the back pannel. So far i'm missing ADAT chassis connectors.

Where can i buy that type of connectors?

Thanks for your time.

Never seen such a thing for ADAT. Might be that the signal levels are too low to be reliably patched.

Only solution I know of has active electronics, HOSA has the PBP362.

Cool haven't though of that. Frontier Design also makes the Apache which is about the same thing for much more $$$$

Anybody have any experience with one or both units?

Thanks for your time.

I have used the Hosa unit. Seemed stable and reliable to me. In fact I have a three channel "module" around somewhere in my boxes as I am downsizing everything in preparing to move to a smaller place. PM me and I´ll see if I can send it over.

The kind of connector you seek certainly exists, if I understand you right. You're looking for a connector that fits in a standard "Neutrik-style" D-connector hole, right? Similar size to a standard XLR chassis connector, single ADAT connector?

That exists. I'll ask one of the techs I know where to order from.
