There's plenty of money to be made for a select few.
Everyone else is just taking it without thinking about the consequences.
It's a crying shame this sort of stuff goes on in our industry.

The same already happened here in the Netherlands... Ticketmaster dominates the ticket market. For every ticket you pay at least 2-4 euros on "service/reservation costs". Even for tickets for smaller events (prices below 20 euros) you pay sometimes at least 3 euros. I lately came across service costs of 3.55 euros for a ticket of 10 euros for a small local event.... that's almost a f*cking 40% extra on the normal ticket price! And the weirdest thing is that you sometimes even pay the service costs when you buy your tickets at the door; probably they own the ticket vending machines as well....
