Question Mixers for Solo Act

Current gear:

Shure Beta87A (Now replaced by Beyer M88 TG)
Mackie 1202-VLZ3 (To be replaced?)
TC Helicon VoiceSolo Monitor (small but OK for what I need)
Kurzweil Rumour (in a 2 space rack - may be replaced soon)
EV SXA100 PA Speaker (I only use one for gigs and pan to left - OK for what I do)
Digitech Vocalist Live Pro (in a 2 space rack - used for harmonies)

I've just recently ordered the M88 ... to take full advantage of it's capability, I'm looking at better pres, either replacing the Mackie or adding an outboard pre. Budget is up to 1K. Better EQ (either on the mixer or outboard) would also be desirable - budget - limited.

I perform small pub type gigs as a solo act (acoustic guitar/vocals) and like to travel light, minimizing load in/out and setup.

Suggestions based on experience are welcome?

D-Tar Solstice

Here is what I use for solo / duo stuff and have used it to run an open mic in a pinch.

D-Tar Solstice by Seymour Duncan and Rick Turner. Easily as good as the Mackie Onyx 1620 I used with the "bigger" rig.

You could patch in an Equinox, and still be well under $1000. Rick mentioned somewhere in one of their message board posts that the pre-amps were based upon a certain Neve design. Either way, it sounds good to me.

Stretching your budget a bit...maybe try to find a used Pendulum SPS1
