Talking Remote Recording Opp. in Chicago

I'm trying to help a co-worker out. Her son is a very accomplished violinist and needs a recording of a classical duet with piano and violin. If possible, they like to record this at pianist's house in the Evanston/Glenview area. They want to do 3 songs, each 8-10 minutes, and if possible, to record on Oct. 21st (between 2-8 pm) or on Saturday Oct 29th (after 4pm). If anybody has the ability to record remotely, or knows of a good studio in that area with a grand piano, please shoot me a message and let me know your cost estimate.

Thanks!

Plush on this forum is based in Chicago and is a rather bad-ass classical engineer. I'd give him a ring if I had to do anything acoustic in that part of the country.

I'm with Ben on this one.

Metro mobile is the King of Kings in that area but...
I believe Plush and his killer rig is the perfect combination for what you're co-worker's son is looking for.

I would be glad to do it for a reasonable price. I live 10 minutes from Glenview. PM Sent.

We would be pleased to help you.

If it's an important recording for audition or college app or something, probably best to avoid recording at the pianist's house and use a good hall, church or studio. I can guarantee you that even if the house is a mansion, it's not big enough.

We can help you choose the best place.

We do it all--record, edit, post-produce and read the musical score. Timothy at Metro Mobile would probably refer the job to us in any case.

Rate is approx. $95/hr and there is a 3 hour minimum. Tapes/discs are the only extras.

Please give a call at (773) 551-3529 and we can discuss your project.

Thank you,
Plushy
