Has anyone used a Lynx Aurora as a splitter( ie. sending the analog input to the analog output, then to a mixer for FOH), while recording to computer. I will try and test it out, specifically, to see what happens if the computer (I'm using a Mac Pro w/ Lynx AES16e) crashes, does the Aurora still output the analog signal? There would also be no way to monitor the recording through headphones, but on the plus side, I could use better preamps for the recording, and just bring a small mixer for the live sound ( it's a small venue). The alternative, is to bring a giant mixer and send direct outs to the computer. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dave |
