Question Advice on making a Tuchel to XLR Cable for MKH416T?

Can anyone tell me how to wire a (3 pin) Tuchel to XLR cable for a Sennheiser MKH416t shotgun? A guy I know told me to reverse pins 2 and 3 on the tuchel connector, but I've heard elsewhere to reverse 1 and 2.

I'm confused... help!

I'm saying this purely from memory and without doing much research, but....

I believe the 416T is T-powered, and won't operate (directly) from phantom power. Don't try to make a straight tuchel-to-XLR adaptor, as you will probably fry your expensive mic.

If you search the net, there are schematics out there for a phantom to T-power adaptor, which you can build into a short cable. Or, I think Sound Devices make an adaptor for purchase off-the-shelf.

Hi. Thanks for looking out - I already have a phantom-12v barrel adapter.

Just have to figure out the wiring at this point...

Exclamation

The Tuchel is a DIN connector with a screw-lock.

It's:-

Pin 1 = + ve
Pin 2 (the centre one) = screen
Pin 3 = - ve
