I need help... I have 3 hours of audio on an HD24 and can't get it off. My plan was to use the fireport a friend gave me, but the power supply is MIA. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get the ethernet connection working. I figure easiest thing to do would be buy a new power supply. Problem is, I can't find the 6 pin supply anywhere (Locally) For those that own one... Is this what I need? 6Pin 12v+ 5v AC Power Supply Adapter For Hard Disk Case - eBay (item 230375946474 end time Nov-08-09 02:11:24 PST) Any Idea where I may find one locally??? Thanks in advance. |

You should give it another try, just follow the instructions in the user manual. That's all the help I can give you... | |

Thanks for the heads up on the PSU... That would have been bad. I actually just got the FTP up and running via AceFTP (Thanks Matskull) I'll still be picking up the PS. Thanks again everyone! |

The ethernet connection will go slower than anything alive, try popping the drive out of its caddy and throwing it in an external drive enclosure or buying a drive bay from a company called ViPowER. (I believe its drive bay model "VP-1028LSF"). This way you can just pop your caddy out of the hd24, and into your computer tower and use HD24Tools to get the information out at 100MB/s. The Wikipedia on the HD24 is very helpful for any other snags you might encounter. Alesis ADAT HD24 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

| You're welcome, the ethernet option seems to be picky about which ftp software we use...

I have heard about FTP sessions dropping out, so be warned. Not sure if you can resume the file transfers either.
