Question Allen & Heath Sys-Link

I have a show coming up where I need more then 16 channels. I have a A&H WZ3 14:4:2 available and so i was thinking about using the Sys-Link option by slaving my WZ3 16:2 to it, so I would have 10 additional preamps.

My question is for anyone that has utilized the Sys-Link feature. Any glitches? What type of success or failures have you had using Sys-Link?

Any info is appreciated. Please direct to other post if neccessary as I could not find any with this info.

Thanks

- L.E.

I'm chiming in a bit late on this one and with full disclosure I never actually used this console interface, but I cannot see any potential problems using the device.

What did you end up doing for your up coming show?

I'm sorry i could not be of more assistance on this one.

Has anyone out there use the Sys-Link?

Yeah, I don't see why there would be any issues either. I just haven't been able to find a guide to setting up the Sys-Link between two boards. SO as far as I know, you just cable the two together and power up. I just didn't know if there was any more I should know about the process.

The way I understand it, that's all it takes.

I don't believe syslink is standard on their consoles though, pretty sure it's a paid-for upgrade. So as long as both desks have the syslink option, just connect them with the cable.

Thanks guys. Both console have the option, and I assumed that you just connect the two. Just want to see if I was missing something. Hopefully all goes well.

Cheers
