Question Adapting a countryman B6 to XLR

I have a few Countryman B6's that are terminated 1/8". I would like to be able to use them wired if needed. What do I need to get the mic to work with a standard pre-amp (XLR connection)?

I've tried adapting to XLR and plugging it into a pre-amp, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance!

Ok...

Did a little research...

The Countryman B6 (and most lavs) run off of Bias power, which pre-amps and mixers cannot provide.

So what I need to do is figure out a way to provide Bias power to either an XLR jack or an 1/8" jack.

Help, anyone?

BTW,

Several manufacturers make these adapters, but they cost ~$120 ea. Wanted to do this without spending that kind of money, since I need two, so I'm wondering if anyone knows the circuit.

Thanks
