Hi, I recently bought a Headphone amp SPL Phonitor + AKG K701 and I am experimenting with the Speaker Angle and Cross feed. Does anybody of you had any experience with this and if so what's your "favourite" setting? Gaston

Hello Gaston, Is that Phonitor any good? I'm curious since it attracted my attention when it first came out. Does it provide special benefit that other headphone amps do not. Please give us a report. best from Chicago, Plush

Hi Plush, For sure it sounds good, best I ever heard so far with maybe an exception for the top of the line Stax however that has a different price tag too. Sound is very detailed, fast, clean etc etc The Crossfeed i.e. emulation of speakers well I don't know to be honest it should be able to emulate your monitor setup but I don't think it can do that exactly. Nevertheless it is very usefull and I can recommend it the Phonitor in my case monitoring on remote locations was my weakest point so that's why I invested in a pair of headphones with it's amp. I will have 3 recordings in the month October all in Qatar middle East so we will see how it works. Unfortunately all the rooms have air-conditioning and are originally not concert halls. Will report later. Plush please try the Phonitor with AKG K701 you might like it. `Cheers. Gaston |
