Not a recording question, but has anyone ideas for a small, cheap (old? second-hand?) hardware drum machine for live use. I just want to be able to have the box onstage with me, and start and stop patterns from a footswitch. Need to find the next pattern quickly, preferably with its tempo pre-set? Don't need to record or chain together loops to make whole songs. Any advice gratefully received, thanks. P.S. In these days of live performances where no one will pay for a 3 or 4-piece band, I'm out to sack the drummer! |

I may be biased, but I think the Oberheim DMX or DX would suit your needs perfectly. The DMX Files - In color |
