You can get by fine with a solid boom with counterweight and a middle attachment to get you that 1 meter forward. Its pretty much all we do. actually gets you more flexibility.
You cant really use it for live broadcast though as it is very distracting.

That being said, I am looking for a used decca tree myself if someone has one.

Now if that wasnt an unhelpful answer i dont know....
keeps your question on top atleast....

Call Wes and see if he would rent one to you.

Wes will rent them to you if you'd like.

Depending on the gig, I've often just set up 3 stands and created a tree that way... Obviously for sessions it is fine, but not necessarily for live concerts. In concerts, I've used home-brew trees that are made with aluminum rod with threaded slots for the mics. Using eye bolts makes it possible to fly the sucker...

Ben's solution is my most common one as well.
the one thing to watch out for is the middle mic in front of the conductor. Not very popular. if you can solve that by using a stand with a boom behind him or hang the middle mic or other creative solutions you might avoid some problems.
