Question Choir in small studio

Hi all
On monday I have a school choir coming in to the studio to have a look around and they would like to record a song.
I could say, its just a school choir i'll put up an XY pair in front of them and away we go but why waste the opportunity to try something more interesting.

I think the choir will be about 20 people. The studio is long and narrow so i'll be able to fit them down one end with a lot of empty space the other end or stretch them out along the width of the room.

It's quite a dead room.. which makes me wonder what the best mic technique will be. Most the popular choir techniques are aimed at catching the room sound which probably won't get me very far.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks
