Hey You should really be asking these questions over at rec.arts.movies.picture.sound google group.. people there know these answers. With all due respect to the pros here, they work in mostly in the music recording arena.. Anyways from my knowledge the 200 series receivers are not digital hybrid, and the 400 series are. secondly the 211 aqnd 411 differ from the 201 and the 401 in that they have a "tracking front end" which basically means they have a narrow front end filter that excludes alot of other RF that is flying around. That means you will get better range and better resistance to "hits" with 211 or 411 receivers. The 211Rx and UM200CTx is a very solid system and if you can find those used for a good price you could do alot worse.. Check used gear pages at coffey sound and location sound corporation. 211 had a tracking front end and removeable antennas (can be used in a quad box and share an antenna system w/ other RX, the 201 does not. Philip Perkins |
