I just got a Sure VP88 and a field recorder. Is there any reason why I might opt to use the Sure's battery over phantom? I realize it will be less drain on the field recorder's battery, but are there quality reasons why one might be preferred over the other? thanks. |

shouldn't be a quality issue.

IIRC, Battery power usually means lower SPL before distortion, but that's about it. If you're doing high SPL work I'd suggest using p48, otherwise, battery is fine. Those are actually pretty darn good mics - I used one for years - enjoy! |
