Talking Clocking Digi 002 with Metric Halo 2882box

I thought I'd ask this in the remote forum as I have seen a bunch of MIO users here.
My question is pretty self explanatory and I know I should(and will) just ry this myself, however I wonder if anyone has done this and experienced better performance over the digi converters and clock. I will probably use my Pendulum MDP-1 pre and some Earthworks pres in addition to the MIO pres. I do a lot of acoustic recording- I am looking for transparency and accuracy.

Thanks for any thoughts..

I've been using my 2882 with 002 in exactly this fashion. Using SPDIF,
the 2882 will very easily clock to the 002. The converters on the 2882
are noticeably better sounding...

I can get the 002 to clock to the 2882 (again, via SPDIF) with the 2882
as the master, which improves the sonics quite a bit, but I seem to run
into more problems with this set up as its a bit finky. The trouble
comes when you want to listen to iTunes or something through your 002.
Its totally worth using the 2882 as the master when you're working in
Protools though.

I'm saving for an HD rig and will be using my 2882 with that, too!

Thanks for your reply. I will try this probably with the ADAT lightpipe
(and with SPDIF).
Have you found one to be better than the other?? I'll stay away from itunes on my studio computer-always have-and keep it simple.

Best,
