Question Recording in Buenos Aires?

We're planning a set of orchestra/jazz sessions in Buenos Aires perhaps yet in 2009. Are there any fellow GS members who work in Buenos Aires that may be able to supply both tech & session support and parts of a high-rez recording system? We'll supply the engineer, producer, the main DSD workstation and many of the mics as-needed.

Any help, references or assistance is most appreciated. Muchas gracias!

I will be spending six weeks there this Fall. I bet I'll know a lot when I get back. I am going to record orchestra in several locations including halls and churches.

We are relying on some radio people to supply us with hardware, hook-ups and set-up boys. We are bringing mics and recorders.

So I imagine I will know much more once these projects are done.

Job is coming out of Germany but they left it up to us to make our own way.
Radio guys also have a ton of good working tube mics for us as well.

Should be fun. Hope I'm not stealing your job.

Thanks, Hudson. Nope, sounds like a different gig altogether, but we need to find a support source before your trip in the fall. If you care to share, please PM or email me the radio station contacts. We're looking for cabling, stands, and maybe monitors plus some setup help.

Many thanks for the input!

A little bumpage for Michael...

How is everything working out for you?
Did you find everything you needed?

Hi there,

I live and work in Buenos Aires. Besides having my own recording studio, which I think is a bit small to fit your purposes, I also do work for another rather large recording facility (SSL desk, API desk, as well as quite an impressive assortment of mics andd outboard gear, including a gorgeous Fairchild 670).
I could also assist you with remote recording.
Send me a private message with more details about the production and requirements. I'm sure we can work out something.

Cheers!

Martin

Thanks for the bump, Steve.

No, not a lot of response yet. I'm hoping one of our South American GS friends will stop by the forum soon.
