TC SK48, Audient ASP008 w/ADAT card, who uses them?

What are they like?
How are the convertors?

I do like the ASP008, if you do a search, you'll find most people here praise them. Clean but not boring, and a little bit of a very nice signature sound.
Clock has sometimes been an issue with the two I have used. Heat always is - they do need some space around them.

I've been following other threads on the SK48 and Audient and like the fact that I can have 12 channels at 96/24 right away fairly cheap.
I can have 20 channels if I get the Audient with the ADAT SMUX thingy.
What would be some suggestions for other pre's?
I'm coming from 24 in of Prsim and 8 in of 192 with 20 in of Millennia and various other High End or Vintage pres and a divorce + assorted tragedies. Looking to simpify to a laptop native FW sit and I have always liked TC for its quality conversion since their 2290 delay. I'm even thinking PreSonus as they have some Class A pres with 30 volt rails.
Which would be the better converters, Audient or PreSonus?
