Question Testing DI

I am building a DI snake right now and am wondering how I should go about testing it. I feel confident, but how do I test if I am actually converting the signal?

Run a signal into it and listen to what comes out the other side.

send the same signal to at least two inputs and check phase with a xy scope or your ears. once you confirm they are ok test the remaining channels but always use the last one tested as a reference to make sure everything is in phase and working properly

record a duel mono source through your Di and another DI with the same gain settings.

Listen and enjoy.
