Hi, I have a location recording job coming up on Sunday. I'm going to be taking individual channel outputs from the FOH board going into Pro Tools.Right now I'm using a Digi003+Rack interface to send to protools, plus I'm using a Presonus Digimax FS to send another 8 inputs via ADAT. Here's my question: on this gig, I'm going to need more than 16 inputs. I haven't tried this yet, but I alos have an older Digi002 Rack that I'd like to use to get some more inputs. I know I can use S/PDIF to get at least two more channels, but does anybody know if there's a way I can get all 8 of those channels from the 002 in along with the 8 from the Digimax FS? Thanks in advance.

nope. 003r (inc+) maxs out at 18 inputs. i've been told the m-audio profire 2626 can take 2x ADAT plus the analog inouts. maybe find somewhere you can hire a 24trk hard drive recorder? transfer to tools after the gig.

do you need more than 18 tracks concurrently, or are you just trying to make life easy by having each channels direct out have its own input. consider using and aux or group to submix things like toms to 2 tracks etc. or send your loom from the desk to your 003r via a patchbay so you can punch or bump channels as required. |
