Question player with 4 outputs for surround

hello,

are there any audio hard drive recorders that have four outputs that can be played simultaneously?

I want to reproduce b-format in the desert without a computer and converters......is this possible....can you give me as many options as possible.......

thanks,

fondone

so is the zaxcom generally considered "by the pros" -the best in terms of audio depth and quality as well as durability?

the deva is $13000 .....any particular reason .....what seprates the deva v from others, specifically the HHB?

A real hard drive is the requirement? If not there's the Edirol R-44 etc.

Can you be more specific with your requirements?
Do you need timecode?
How bullet proof does the unit need to be?

I would probably get the sound devices 8 ch if I were in the market for a unit right now.
For high reliability I would consider units with both drive and solid state memory.

ok I did a bad thing and bought a soundfield st350.....

I want to reproduce b-format live......

I just basically want the highest fidelity 4 line in 4 line out portable hardrive without extra whistles and bells........

i'd even go for a laptop with like a high quality 4 in 4 out usb audio interface......I have a feeling this would be cheaper......
