I need help redesigning my live rig and I was hoping I would also have something for studio use as well. Right now I am just using a digitech rp50 and a sansamp para di. I have had 2 of those $49 units burn out on me in the past 1000 performances. I guess with the amount being used it's not bad... I just feel it is time to upgrade. I am seriously looking at the Lexicon mx300... It can also interface with Logic as a software au to take some load off the cpu which is nice. In 2008 I read the drivers were not working correctly. There has been can update since and was wonder if anyone has had success with this. I am also looking at a dbx 215 Eq... With my sansamp para di I "should" get nice results, or so I am thinking... Which is why I am posting here for input. Thanks

You cant fix a sound with eq or fx, with a good sound into a good di you shouldn't need anything more than a decent consoles EQ and fx. For violin you want a DI with a high input impedance so grab a countryman and you wont have to look back. They will last you many years as well. |
