Battery Wiring for my APC Smart UPS 1400

Hey guys, I own an APC Smart-UPS 1400 2u rack unit , I removed the Batteries and then got side tracked & stupidly didn't document the wiring protocol used , came back to it a few days later to connect the new batt's and can't remember how the damn thing was config'd. I would appreciate help. The replacement batteries are RBC24 and my unit is an SU1400RM2U.

I believe those batteries are configured in series.
Have you contacted APC yet?
I'm sure they will set you straight!

No they won't Steve, cos they want to sell a replacement tray prewired with batts for $350. There isn't any mention of the wiring in the Manual or on the APC site. I had Tech support online & they refused to give out this info which I think is diabolical!!

Wow, that is so strange!

I'm so sorry to hear this news.

We were in a similar situation with our UPS units, but the new guy in the shop with the least amount of knowledge figured it out.

What I'm saying is, place the batteries into the unit and give it a shot.
You at it like a puzzle of sorts.

Or, we can keep bumping this thread until someone with the same unit chimes in with a picture of an opened unit and such.
