Question Newbie Live Sound/Combo Amp Question

Hi Guys,
My little 100-watt SWR bass combo amp has a nice balanced DI-out in the rear, and I'd like to use it for the first time at an upcoming gig with a few hundred in the audience.
What, if anything, do I need for the mixer other than an XLR cable? So sorry for the newbie question -- I rarely play live!!!! The band needs solid low end and I'm worried that my little amp might not do the job right!
Thank you --

Yep, just an XLR cable. If the sound system is being provided for you the house/PA company will surely have the appropriate cable. But if you have one lying around it wouldn't hurt to have that as a backup. Have a good gig!

definitely a handy feature... depending on the size gig and how much gear has been supplied (di boxes etc) these outputs can come in handy all the time...

handy for getting the post-amp sound without the spill of putting a mic up...

Be aware that if your amp stops working mid-set, your feed to the PA might as well. While i do appreciate the practicality of the balanced out, i still like to get a pre-head DI, straight off the instrument... it means that if the bass rig fails i've still got a signal to put into the mix/ give back to the talent through monitors.

last year at a festival a bass cab failed mid set, but the ampeg pre it was chained through was fine, so achieving a post-amp sound was as simple as removing the mic from the bass cab, and popping its XLR into the balanced out. dialed some bass through to the wedge send and bassist and FOH were happy...

good luck with the gig and have fun!!
