Talking Recent visit to "Le Mobile" headquarters

Hi there everyone. I am on a trip to San Diego this week and was visiting an old colleague, Guy Charbonneau of "Le Mobile" recording. I'm sure many of you guys are very familiar with their work.

Guy was a gracious host and kind enough to show me around his truck and the upgrades they have done since I last saw him. The last time I visited was 6 years ago, at the time they were running (I believe) Studer pro-digi reel to reels, with MX-2424s as a backup. These days it was dual Pro Tools HD rigs (one master, one backup) using outboard apogee converters.

Their website is

Le Mobile Remote Recording Studio - on location - professional on location multi-track audio recording studio - Digital - Analog

and has lots of droolworthy pictures of their setup and all the gear!

Thanks!

after following tha link, if you click on the studio photo, you are taken to a page with photos of the studio gear. In the 1st photo there is a Grace 8ch mic preamp near the top of a rack, with 8ea, 1ru units directly underneath. What are these 1ru boxes under the Grace preamp???

thanks.
