C461s, MC930s, AT4051s, or km184s for string quartet? - Page 2

update - AT4051s, Beyer MC930s and KM184s are ready to go. fortunately, i will also have a "ringer" pair of mics to throw into the competition which i will not identify, just to see how they fare under the unflinching gaze of you golden-ear'ed professionals in comparison to these mid-range mics. session is thursday, so hopefully will post clips in a new thread next weekend.

Here's a recording of a string quartet with a heavily modded B&O BM-5. If you don't like the sound then I guess you can discount my opinion.
