Are there any comments on this new unit? Or rme is still a big no for classical work?
I know that it's completely new from the ground up, but some user comments are welcome.

I have no comment on the unit, sorry - but:
RME is fine for classical work, BIS Records have made tons of fine albums using RME Octamics, now they are using Micstacys also.
RME Artists

Get the musicians, the room, the mics and the placement right, then you will be fine with RME.
