preamp/multitrack rental in netherlands/belgium

Hi all,

I might record an opera in damascus, syria

This will be a fly-away set up (audio and hd video) and I'm investigating other options apart from bringing a lawo mc56 desk with remote preamps (trying to keep transport costs/ weight down)

i've already asked europe audio/video rental here in holland, they're investigating their possibilities, but maybe someone on the board here has ideas?

I will need: good quality preamps, do not know track numbers yet; anywhere between 48 and 80 channels.
Conversion to 1 or 2 madi streams..

As light as possible.

mmm, not much chance, but other than EAVR you could also try Audio Electronics Mattijsen or perhaps Lobbes?

They are surely more available for rental than the Lawo.
I know they sound great and can be configured for OB work quite easily.

Well, lawo has a rental company and can supply any possible configuration...
And I'm not going to take any risks with a -to me- unknown mixer
