Sounds like a cool hang there in upstate NY...I don't know if it would be for me though. I'd miss days like today-trying to get to a session only to have the road blocked because of the MJ memorial traffic....priceless.
And the boredom of waiting around for the big earthquake, that must take its toll too...

(I actually grew up in Orange County, so you're not telling me anything I don't already intimately know... the cops in cars, the topless bars...)

Yeah, that was all just the attached mics splayed out to 110 degrees. Very easy to operate. The display screen tells you everything at a glance, the menus are just for changing sample rates, limiter durations, deleting files, and like that.

Although my favorite trick is to hit 'record' and not really realize that puts you in 'record pause' where you need to further hit the orange blinking 'pause' button to get things rolling... it's quite the rush to be interviewing someone, glance over, and see the 'pause' light blinking away, ready for action... and then mumble something like, "Say, tell me again about the...."
