| Hey.. has anyone seen/used one of these? I just bid on a TASCAM DA-P1 and then I saw this thing. What should I do? I want to be able to record decently on location without getting too crazy. DAT would cost $600, this would be $500 (or less) s |

| Here's the link s/pdif digital input means you can use any A/D converter w/ s/pdif. Pretty cool. Although the intention is to be self-contained. I'm just saying, if you wanted to use different converters it is an option. |

| This is just out on the market or not quite released yet. I'm interested myself, as they got something right that so many others didn't: the SPDIF *input*. This allows you to use whatever converters you want, so the mirco-Track basically becomes as good as your converters. The lack of a SPDIF input is the only reason I haven't bought an Edirol R-1, which otherwise is a great little device. |
