Preamps of Marantz 661 compared with Korg MR-1000 ones

Hi all,

For a soon to make decision regarding a compact very low self noise mobile recorder I stand between the Marantz 661 and the Korg MR-1000. I will use the Rode NT1 and the Audio Technica BP4025 as mics. Could someone tell me something about the preamp quality in comparison to each other? Due the mics a do not need a high gain. Some tests and users complain about the MR-1000 preamp quality, but if it is slighty better than the one of the Marabtz, I would opt for the Korg.
