Question power conditioners: MOV vs MODE SERIES

dear friends,
in my rack i have my 8 channel pre and audiocard.
very often i record in churches so there are always interferences.
i want:
a) to protect my gear
b) to avoid any interference from external

i know the best are surgex, zerosurge and brickall, because they use mode series technology and not MOV.
but i live in italy, here we are with 220V and surgex and so on make only 120V.

are there anyone that build mode series for european market?

in not, what could i make in order to obtain point a) and b)? can you give me the name of some models to reach the same as surgex?

thanks a lot.

Alessandro.

Depending on the circuit MOV sometimes give up their "life" protecting you from surges and the next time one happens you will not be protected. There are lots of power conditioners/surge protectors to chose from and the trick is to find one that works well but does not weigh a ton.

Furman, Monster Cable, Surgex, APC, BrickWall, Zero Surge, MTL Surge, Citel , Tripp Lite and a whole host of other companies make what you are looking for.

Best bet may be to call one of their representatives (in the US they are called tech reps) and ask them what they recommend for your application. it doesn't cost anything to ask and you may find something that you are looking for at a price point you can afford

i know there are various contaminations from external electricity.
a it is told in other threads no power conditioner can cancel all these problems.
so, at the end, the only solution seems to be an UPS on line double conversion, the only that can create a pure sinewave and mantain it both in AC and both with battery.
regarding this theory this kind of UPS can cancel ALL the problems.
what do you think about this?

That is the BEST way to go BUT they are heavy and bulky so you should get it put into a case with wheels on it so you can roll it into the venue. If I had unlimited funds that is the way I would go. You should also look at these for your noise problems. surge suppression, surge protection, emi filter We use there stuff and are very happy with it. You could also get one of these from TOPAZ Isolation Transformers - 1 kva to 4 kva problem is they are HEAVY but they do provide a very good isolation from the line and they will work on 50Hz 220 volts.

Furman has just said to me that the model P-1800 AR, the new model, is a MODE SERIES.
but in their web pages they never speak about MODE SERIES technology and they take care only to protect in some articles their MOV technology.
very very strange.

Again I would talk to a tech rep and ask him or her the hard questions.
