I don't know what forum to ask this question, so I'll ask it here since this is where I hang out the most. Last January, I got a MBox 2 Pro and I'm using that as a dongle for PT LE. I want to be able to use it to at least its capacity. Does anyone here know this thing? I want to be able to clock to my Mini-me and mix-in at least 2 more spot mics as I need to, or run side fills, but the last time I tried this, it didn't work. Anyone know how to make this function properly? Would I really have to use internal clock if I want to use more channels? This is not what I signed up for... I thought it was more like a 002R w/o as many channels when I bought it. -s |

Yeah, this forum will work, but no one seems to have responded to your query so, I figured I should bump it up for you. I wish I knew more about the MBox 2 Pro... I'm sure someone will chime in soon enough. All the best!

I know on the old M-Box you have to choose - you can either use the SPDIF or you can use the 2 analog inputs, but not both. I am not sure if this one works the same way. Is this the firewire one or the USB one? One thing you can check is the I/O setup in ProTools. If it allows you to have four or more active input paths (or at least two stereo) then it might be able to work, you may not have it configured properly or you might not have the right inputs assigned.

This is the firewire box. I am going to need to test some things out I think. I am definitely going to take your advice and check the I/O setup for proper configuration. I thought I had done this but now I'm second guessing myself. I was hoping others are using this thing. Anybody else got one? -s | |
